On April 6, 2023, a meeting with instructors of the specialized master’s program (professional-oriented) of Rural Revitalization Finance released by China Construction Bank (CCB) and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law was successfully held at ZUEL. Li Ling, Senior Manager of CCB Hubei Branch and Executive Vice President of Central China Training Institute of CCB Training Center, General Manager Yang Zigang, Deputy General Manager Mao Houcheng and Section Chief Zhang Qing of Inclusive Finance Department of CCB Hubei Branch, General Manager Zhang Junxiong, Deputy General Manager Wang Yibao and Section Chief Li Bo of Rural Revitalization Department, Deputy General Manager Yan Li, Section Chief Zhao Qing and Dong Dibing of Central China Training Institute of CCB Training Center, Professor Yao Li, Vice President and Member of the CPC ZUEL Standing Committee, Professor Hu Honghong, Dean of Graduate School of ZUEL, Professor Chen Chibo, Director of Rural Revitalization Research Center, Professor Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA, Professor Shi Junwei, Vice Dean of SBA, Professor Zhang Dong, Vice Dean of CCB campus, Professor Hu Hongbing, Vice Dean of School of Finance, Professor Yang Qinglong, Vice Dean of School of Statistics and Mathematics, Professor Xiong Ping, Vice Dean of School of Information and Safety Engineering, and all supervisors of Rural Revitalization Finance and students of Class of 2022 attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Professor Wu.
Vice President Yao Li expressed congratulations to the meeting. She pointed out that ZUEL attaches great importance to deepening the collaborative education of industry-university-research-application, and tries various modes of school-enterprise cooperation to improve the level and quality of education. At the same time, she said the rural revitalization strategy is a long-term systematic project. As the reserve power and vital force for the implementation of the strategy, students majoring in agriculture should work hard and make long-term efforts in the great task of national rural revitalization, and contribute their youth and strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
President Li Ling pointed out that universities are the main force of basic research on rural revitalization and the source of major scientific research breakthroughs, while banks are one of the main parts of financial technology innovation and an important carrier for the implementation of rural revitalization strategy. Thus, there is an urgent need for universities and banks to promote collaborative development and in-depth cooperation. As the leading role in financial development of rural revitalization, CCB Hubei Branch has an urgent demand for talents, ideas and technologies. The two sides have a broad space for cooperation in stimulating the vitality of precise and collaborative innovation, turning knowledge to application achievements, promoting the talent training, improving the comprehensive capacity of rural revitalization talents and exploring comprehensive cooperation paths, which will lay a new foundation and start a new chapter for the cooperation and long-term development of both sides.
Professor Chen introduced the work of the Rural Revitalization Research Center, the achievements of the Center in serving the national strategy with high quality in the past, the current talent demand of the national strategy, and the future cooperation plan with CCB. He emphasized that the revitalization of talents is the top priority of the rural revitalization strategy. It has always been the education philosophy of this degree program to cultivate versatile talents who are proficient in agriculture, management and politics and law. It will make efforts in the construction of rural revitalization case base and database to precisely match the cutting-edge needs of industry-teaching-research national rural revitalization.
Professor Wu introduced the grouping of the practical instructors, full-time supervisors and students, and encouraged the students to increase their knowledge accumulation, participate in rural revitalization, shoulder the important responsibility given by the times, and contribute their wisdom and strength to rural revitalization.
The practical instructors, full-time supervisors and students had a group exchange. The practical instructors carefully shared their insights on rural finance, inclusive finance and rural industrial revitalization accumulated in the process of practice. The students shared their learning experiences with the teachers, introduced the topic selection of their thesis, and adjusted the research direction based on the teachers’ opinions and suggestions so as to improve the practice and application worth of their researches.
